About
Mike began writing his own Yoga bios 17 years ago, leaving a career in Health Communications and Design to actualize a lifelong passion for Eastern philosophy and well-being into meaningful work.
I teach yoga as a practical and empowering tool — one that helps people of all ages and experience levels move better, breathe deeper, and feel more at home in their bodies.
My approach is breath-centered, functional, and personalized. I meet you where you are, whether you’re recovering from injury, exploring movement for the first time, or deepening an existing practice.
Through one-on-one sessions, group classes, and online offerings, I guide students in building a confident personal practice rooted in intuition.
Yoga is both an art and a science, and the benefits go far beyond flexibility. A deeper connection between breath, mind and body is only the beginning!
I have taught more than 25,000 hours of yoga and served as the lead facilitator in 25 Yoga Teacher Training Certification programs. Next YTT program begins October 17, 2026.

My Teachers
Richard Freeman has been the biggest influence on my understanding, as both a student of yoga and a teacher. I was fortunate to attend his month-long intensive in 2014 in Boulder, Colorado.
Richard is so much more than a postural alignment teacher. He is so compassionate with sharing his insights into yoga, buddhism, philosophy and honouring the depths of the wisdom traditions of east and west. The best I can do to honour my teacher is share the spirit of enthusiasm and sincere appreciation that he inspires in his students.
