A moving meditation — Ashtanga means, "eight-limbs," referring to a holistic approach to yoga conceptualized 2000 years ago within the teacher Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.
The movement system we practice was created around the 1930s in Mysore India, polished by generations of teachers since. This practice links breath with movement, and builds concentration, strength, flexibility, and a capacity for deep controlled breathing.
