Mindful, accessible movement followed by meditation. Hatha is an old yoga practice that refers to balancing the energies of prana (governed by inhaling) and apana (the grounding, stabilizing pattern of the exhale). Joining these energies is mindfulness in motion.

Hatha Yoga is the ancient root of all styles taught today, and explores breathing techniques (pranayama), postures (asana) and meditation (savasana) to cultivate concentration, relaxation and a deep appreciation for life. The main source text of these practices is the Hatha Pradipika, a 14th century text, composed by masters of breathing exercises and physical yoga techniques — a guidebook to a direct experience of yoga that transcends the trappings of language.
