Neural Awareness in Yoga: Bridging Mindfulness and the Nervous System

  • Michael Dynie Yoga 485 Gilmour Street Ottawa, ON, K1R 5L3 Canada (map)

In this workshop with Will Derode, you’ll learn about 9 different neural networks and how to cultivate and teach mindfulness principles which dissipate tension, alleviate numbness and create internal space. We will explore the language of “parts” and how you can teach yoga with a sensitivity to the parts that may be present in within others.

Finally, we will cover the cutting edge neurobiology of how overwhelming experiences affect the nervous system as well as 3 simple techniques to help create internal balance. If you are looking to have a better understanding of anxiety, depression, ptsd, panic, dissociation and how to better support individuals who experience these things in your teaching / practice then this workshop will be for you!
