Foundations of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

An intelligently designed movement system that was founded by the Godfather of Modern Yoga, Krishnamacharya. This class is being offered in support of Astanga Yoga Ottawa. Ashtanga is a movement system with an emphasis on breath control and meditative gazing (drishti) within movements and postures. Practice starts with Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) then standing and seated postures, and relaxation.
