A blend of first and second series Ashtanga. Second series includes backbends, inversions and arm balances, while first series is more about core, hips, and developing crow pose power. What I'm most drawn to about Ashtanga is the unbroken focus on the breath within a movement practice that is sometimes meditative, sometimes incredibly challenging and humbling. It’s like medicine for the mind.
